 Common admission test is a mandatory entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management for granting admission in the management programs of all the IIM's.Besides IIM's there are other bussiness schools too,which consider the CAT scores as the main eligibility criteria for enrolling students in their management programs.After successfully clearing the CAT test ,you have to clear the group discussion and interview rounds as well to secure a place for yourself in MBA program.
CATÂ online test pattern:
The CAT test is gemerally conducted in the month of November .It is comparatively less predictable than other management entrance test as its patter keeps changing every year.This year the CAT test will be conducted online across the country,students have to go to the prescribed centres for their exams and with the help of computer they have to give away the answers of the questions.This year there will not be any pen -pencil pattern.There are 4 sections: Â 1. Quantitative Ability(QA). 2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (LR). 3. Reading Comprehension (RC) 4. Verbal Ability(VA).
Eligibility Criteria for CAT test:
It is essential for you to hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% score in order to be eligible to give the CAT test. In case you belong to SC,ST or any disability category ,you  are required to have least 45% marks in graduation.
CAT Test Registration:
The CAT test registration form is same for all the IIM's .You can get this form from any branch of Axis Bank. The form is filled online and the admit cards will also be dispatched online to the students after the successful registration .However,for non-IIM's you have to fill seperate application forms.
