CAT or common admission test is a gateway to gain admission into Indias leading B-schools brand IIM's.Its an entrance test conducred jointly by the 7 IIM's .A committee instituted by IIM's prepares the CAT.The objective of CAT is to select the candidate who have potential to become a manager and the success of the IIM's depends upon the quality of managers they create.Besides the IIM's there are many other institutes that excepts the CAT score some of them are MDI Gurgaon,SP Jain Mumbai,IMT Ghz,MICA Ahmedabad,etc.It has 4 distinctive sections ,Ouantitaive aptitude (QA), data Interpretation (DI),Reading Comprehension(RC) & Verbal Ability(VA).

From 2009 CAT Will Be Online

The 33 year old pen pencil format for the common admission test has given way to computers as the admission test for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM's) goes online this year.IIM's have selected Prometric ETS to be the partner for the CAT exam.Considered to be the toughest entrance exam for management & bussiness schools worldwide ,CAT determines the entry to the IIM's at Ahmedabad,Bangalore,Kolkata,Indore ,Lucknow,Kozhikode,Shilong & to over 118 other B-schools across the country.The test will be conducted in a window of about 10 days sometime at the end of the year.

Xaviers Aptitude Test (XAT)

Xaviers Aptitude Test is one of the toughest test conducted by the XLRI Jamshedpur for the admission to the various B-schools across the country.It ios a all India Level test.XAT score are also used by many other B-schools for the admissions besides XLRI.XAT is designedon multiple choice questions of 2.30 hrs in which last 20 min are given to the essay writing.XAT is also based on the areas which includes verbal ability,reasoning,reading comprehension,quantitative skills,data intepretation,logical reasoning.Overall XAT has several sections including Quantitative aptitude (QA),Data Interpretation (DI),General Knowledge(GK),English usage & reading comprehension.

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS)

The FMS Exam is a managemnet exam conducted by Delhi based Faculty of Management Studies,Delhi University.FMS is one of pioneers management education in India and its entrance exam is one of the oldest one.It is generally held in the second sunday of January .FMS entrance test is different from others in its approach .we believe that management programs should be open to the students of all backgrounds ,not just students with engineering education.FMS entrance paper comprisis of quantitative ability,verbal ability,language comprehension,analytical ability,& environmental sensitivity.There are total of 175 questions in FMS paper.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)

New Delhi Based Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) admission test is conducted for IIFT's two year MBA program ,and is held in November .IIFT's entrance test is common for Delhi and Kolkata campuses.It is one of the most prestigious bussiness schools of India.IIFT offers two -year full time MBA in international bussiness ,3 year part time MBA in international bussiness,an executive masters in international bussiness & certificate programs in export management.

How is IIFT Entrance Exam Designed ?

The IIFT entance exam is designed on multiple choice answers that include English comprehension,general knowledge & awareness,logical reasoning & quantitative analysis.Students can get their application forms by early september .Candidates having bachelors degree from recognized university are eligible for the exam.Students are selected on the basis of their performance in written test ,eassay writing ,group discussion & personal interview.IIFT has its own written test ,which is partly objective & partly narrative.

ICFAI Bussiness School Aptitude Test (IBSAT)

ICFAI Bussiness School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) is conducted for ICFAI bussiness schools (IBS) two year MBA programs at all campuses and one year executive post graduate programs in Hyderabad. IBSAT is held in December every year.According to IBS ,IBSAT is based on GMAT format with multiple choice questions and it tests the applicants abilities in quantitative techniques,data adequency ,vacabulary,writting skills,analytical reasoning & reading comprehension.

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test(SNAP)

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test(SNAP) can get you into symbiosis group of institutes.SNAP is a common written entrance exam required to get admission into symbiosis post graduate institutes.It is held in mid Decemeber every year.Today symbiosis runs a nos of institutes like SIBM,SIMC,SCMHRD,SIMS,SIIB,SICSR etc.SNAP is an objective test and has 150 questions .Each paper has 4 responses.Candidate should choose appropriate response.It has 4 sections .In 3 sections each question carries 1 mark and 1 section each question carries 2 marks.Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.The pattern of The test is based on general english like reading comprehension,verbal reasoning,verbal ability,quantitative ,data interpretation & data sufficiency,logical reasoning& general awareness.Graduates with min.of 50% marks from any university recognised by AICTE are eligible to take SNAP exam.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted by All India Management Association New Delhi.It is conducted to take the admission to India more than 500 management & bussiness schools.This exam is conducted four times in a year in different centre across the country.This is a totally objective type exam based on other management entrace exams ,application forms aur other details can be collected from the various centres across the country or from the AIMA New Delhi.
